House Party

The long anticipated House party at Impact bar went down with a bang last week!! Although I only lasted about 2 hours before jack took the gentlemen out of me, it was a memorable 2 hours!

It was a great night!!

Old skool flavour with a good vibe. Everyone was friendly and ready to party which is what you want when you go out. There arnt enough places like this anymore. These days when you go out your lucky if one of your mates dont get into a fight!

The night started off with some old skool underground hip hop by DJ Wayne, followed by some smooth rnb by dj jonny smooth! DJ skooby and Headayke followed with some club bangers and crowd favourites. All in all it was a great night n I hope the promoters follow it up with something soon..

The question does linger....

When will we see the return of VARGA LOUNGE!!!! hint hint!!! wink wink.

Like Mariah Carey said, MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

This is it!!

I picked up the This is it, Blue Ray limited edition pack this week. It is everything I expected and more. Michael is brilliant. Quite clearly the greatest artist of all time. The special features really do give an insight in to the type of person he really was and how the media misconstrue him. If you love michael you will love it.

Despite ageing his voice and moves are AMAZING. It is clear that his voice is still strong and at times he sounds just like he did way back when he recorded the tracks. The thing i like the most about it, is that you can tell he is singing and being recorded live. Even though he is holding back as it is just a dress rehearsal he is still amazing and forever unforgettable.

A must buy!!

NBA Greats

A question that has been debated passionatley over drinks MANY MANY times,

who is the greatest? to start things off I will post an email which i recently recieved from H-town.

Kobe, MJ, Lebron - (no videos of Oscar so you can't say too much - Magic and Basketball Jesus, they are just underneath due to the lack of physical attributes)

3 (arguably) greatest games -

*Jordan dropping 63 on the Celtics in second season during playoffs (40+ the next game - Jordan averages 40+ this series)
*Kobe Bean dumping 81 on Raptors (2 rebounds no assists from memory....... .....)
*James dropping 45 on the Pistons in the playoffs (the game he gets like 30 in a row of the cavaliers points)

Watch all three of them and tell me which one impresses you more.

Now watch the playoff games of Chicago v Pistons when they get knocked out 3 years straight, LA Lakers when Kobe gets knocked out by Suns and then Celtics, Cleveland when they lose to Detroit (skip a year) then Orlando.
Which one impresses you more...?

Now welcome to the conversation.

JORDAN is ridiculous. You see him trying everything to get that W.... just not enough with Scottie young and playing like a woman. LeBron is also ridiculous transition game. But when it bogs down.........
Also you need to watch the 63 to get a true impression of....WTF is going on. This is against the eventual Champions Celtics who lost the finals the year before, won the finals the year before, Bird in the peak of his power, Mchale at the peak of his power (that is two automatic 20-25+ scorers), Vinnie Johns, the Chief - celtics team was ridiculous...

Also Jordan 25's are SICK.. the thick tongue sticking out is f'ing pimp as sheet.

H-Town - Knockin' Your Heels Off (twenty nine, nine babeh)

Good Vibrations Perth 2010

Did anyone attend the recent Good vibrations festival in Perth on Sunday 14th February at the Claremont showgrounds?

After enduring the heat to make it to Claremont by 2pm I thouroughly enjoyed Naughty by Nature and Busta Rhymes... Salt and Pepper were also entertaining and took me back to my childhood. By the end of the night Basment Jaxx came on and left me wondering "who the hell were those chicks running around on stage and when did they become part of basement Jaxx!!!!!!"

While I enjoyed the acts and had a good time I was BITTERLY disappointed with the VIP area. The VIP area provided nothing which the general admission ticket did not. The lines in the VIP bar were longer than the lines in the bars outside. From the Vip area you couldn’t even see any of the stages. There was no food provided all drinks were the same price and the toilets were just as dirty and busy as the ones in the GA area.
I am left wondering why I had to pay extra for my ticket? Surley if you advertise something as vip and charge more for the ticket you have a duty to provide an experience better than that of the GA price. I am honestly EXTREEMLY disappointed and regret paying the extra money for the vip ticket. In the end I spent about 10 minutes in the VIP section and did not return because it was an absolute waste of money!

I would like to know if this was the case in all states or just the Perth concert?

If the VIP section was just a scam to sell a few tickets at a higher price then I feel like we should all complain of false advertising..

well thats all for now, please share your thoughts of the festival if you attended.
